Who is Sanitrol?

Jack and Sandy Armistead, both born and raised in Fresno California were married in 1997 when they opened their first business, American Compactor Equipment Sales.  This company has continued to provide industrial waste compaction equipment for most of the hospitals and high schools in Central California. 

In 2018, they were asked about the idea of starting a residential garbage can cleaning service.  They were intrigue and started the research necessary to determine if this was a viable service to provide.  After a short time, it became obvious that people really liked the idea of having clean waste cans, but few would do it themselves. Jack approached his brother Jeff with the idea wondering if had had any interest in being part of a start up business.  Jeff was eager to get started.  From there the first truck was acquired and months thereafter the second.  Currently, the third truck is being finished and it be on route by mid-April 2021.



The customers are incredible. It is understood by most in business that dealing with the public is a huge hassle.  However, that has not been our experience at all.  With thousands of customers now on our cleaning routs; the number of challenging customers can be counted on one hand.  Our customers are appreciative of the effort extended by the drivers; love speaking with our office manager Carla, and genuinely love the cleanliness and fresh smell of the sanitized cans.

Having a business that provides a great service, for a more than fair price, with grateful customers is more than any owner can ever ask for. 

Although we look forward to the continued growth of the business, Sanitrol has no intention of expanding past the Fresno County area.  We love the valley and plan to stay.
